When you enter Ryekol, you’re greeted by a spacious and functional cabin that accommodates both community, activities, and overnight stays. On the ground floor, you’ll find cozy living areas, fireplace lounges, and a large kitchen that makes it easy to gather for cooking and meals. On the first floor, there are dormitories and leadership rooms with plenty of space for larger groups.
Ryekol is designed for stays where practical facilities and good environments go hand in hand — whether you’re here for a weekend trip, camp, or a longer stay.

Ryekol is set up for stays where both functionality and community are in focus. The cabin comprises several living areas, good sleeping facilities, and a well-equipped kitchen, making it easy to gather many people under one roof. There’s space for both daily life at the camp, communal meals, and cozy moments in the indoor common areas.

Ground floor

  • BP-Stuen is a fireplace lounge with space for about 60
  • Junglestuen is a fireplace lounge with space for about 40
  • Gillwell-stuen is a leader’s room/office with space for 8 people.
  • The kitchen contains a stove, large industrial oven, three sinks, an industrial mixer, a cauldron, coffee machine, industrial dishwasher and washing area, double refrigerator, freezer, and shelves for dry goods.
  • IT equipment: There is a projector and speakers in the BP room and Jungle room. In the kitchen, there is a tablet connected to the speakers.
  • In the yard, there is a wood shed, hand wash + counter space, and 2 carts for example for transporting rafters, as well as a covered area. Everything is well-lit (wood from the wood shed is for indoor use, wood for outdoor use can be harvested in the forests around Ryekol)
  • In the bathroom corridor: Shared bathroom, separate for girls and boys. There are 7 toilets, of which one also has a shower for private bathing. Additionally, there is a smaller room for cleaning supplies.

First floor

  • The large dormitory accommodates 40 people.
  • The small dormitory accommodates 30 people.
  • The small sleeping room accommodates 5 people.
  • Leader/sleeping room 1 has 1 fixed bed + table.
  • Leader/sleeping room 2 has 2 fixed beds.
  • Leader/sleeping room 3 has 2 fixed beds + table.
  • In the leader/sleeping room corridor, there is a 'private' toilet and shower.
